Assistant Legal Counsel (Maternity Cover)

We’re looking for an Assistant Legal Counsel to support our Legal Counsel with all aspects of contract management together with a broad range of other legal/administrative work. This is a fixed term contract with a minimum engagement of 7 months.

Who is Cambridge Intelligence?

We’re a team of data visualization experts. With our graph visualization toolkit, we help organizations make an intelligent visual analysis of their data to ‘join the dots’ within it and uncover hidden threats.

What’s the role about?

This role is focused on contract management within a software licencing context, but you’ll cover a broad range of legal responsibilities:

  • Contract drafting, review and negotiation together with redlining/track-changes
  • Assisting the Customer Success Team with contract renewals
  • Maintaining the contract administration system and processes
  • Auditing systems for compliance with new laws and regulations and assisting in the implementation of changes
  • Legal research

Who’s the ideal candidate?

You’re a lawyer with 2+ years of post qualification experience in a commercial setting. You’re keen to learn and highly detail oriented. While some experience in the software industry would be advantageous, it’s not essential.


  • Commercial legal experience
  • Effective communicator in both verbal and written form
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Quick learner
  • Competent in Office and G-suite
  • Self-starter, with meticulous attention to detail
