To help our customers build leading-edge applications, we need to ensure that KeyLines remains at the forefront. Below we highlight the improvements we’ve made to our latest release – KeyLines 4.5 – including, emoji support, a Stardog integration demo and animated donuts.
You can now use emojis to your ❤️’s content. KeyLines 4.5 provides full support for emojis, removing the restriction that meant they were only available in Canvas mode. This includes support for combined emojis, such as family emojis, and the use of modifiers such as skin tone.
We’re always keen to demonstrate how easy it is to get KeyLines working with popular database technologies. Our latest demo shows how to integrate with Stardog – the enterprise knowledge graph platform.
The demo also features expand indicators to make clear which nodes have additional connections associated with them.

Donuts – not these ones 🍩 – are great for visualizing numeric proportions of data. You can now use animation to draw attention to those donut segments. By animating the colour and value properties of donuts you can achieve eye-catching effects, such as mimicking a progress wheel.
In addition to the above, we’ve made KeyLines even better by fixing issues, and incorporating other updates and enhancements – the full notes are available on the SDK.
We release a new version of KeyLines monthly, containing new and improved features. If you’d like to try KeyLines 4.5 for yourself, request a trial here.
