Environmental responsibility
We’re committed to reducing our environmental impact and operating in a way that does not contribute to global climate change.
Cambridge Intelligence has been a carbon-neutral business since 2019 and has committed to becoming net zero by 2030. Led by our Green Initiative Group, we track our progress and publicly share it through TechZero, a partner of the UN’s Race to Zero programme.
Specifically we aim to:
- Remain carbon neutral from 01 June 2019
- Keep our baseline and per-employee emissions below 2019/2020 levels, even as we grow
- Share ideas and knowledge with other businesses
- Hit Net Zero by the year 2030
Giving back
We believe that growing a successful business comes with a responsibility to contribute positively to the communities we’re part of.
Charitable giving is built into how we operate. We make annual donations to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, the British Red Cross, and Cambridgeshire charities, and match all staff fundraising pound-for-pound. In 2024, our payroll giving program earned the Charities Aid Foundation’s Diamond Quality Mark – awarded to fewer than 5% of UK companies.
Governance and ethical use
We take responsibility for how our software is used, and recognize that not every potential use case is appropriate.
Our ethical licensing policy sets clear boundaries on the types of organizations and use activities we support. It provides a framework for evaluating use cases and ensures we only work with customers whose activities align with fair, lawful, and ethical practice.
