European Sales Manager

A full-time, permanent position
Hybrid working, with one day per week in our central Cambridge office – plus occasional travel in Europe.

So, you’re a target driven software sales professional who wants to develop their career with a high growth industry leader?

As European Sales Manager at Cambridge Intelligence, you’ll work closely with our established marketing and sales team to drive a major share of the revenue for the commercial team.

What’s involved?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a category leading established high growth company in a rapidly expanding market.

You’ll manage the entire sales lifecycle, from lead through to contract completion, and work with a combination of major commercial enterprises, government agencies, consulting companies and exciting high growth technology companies.

You’ll develop existing channel partners, and recruit a small number of additional partners to create additional sales opportunities.

Who’s the ideal candidate?

An ambitious self-starter who loves to hit targets, you’ll have plenty of experience – ideally from working in a medium sized SaaS business, selling products to a technical audience.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll work alongside our established marketing and sales team to service our many inbound leads, and to proactively generate opportunities in target accounts and partners. You’ll be part of a highly collaborative team of global sales, marketing and pre-sales professionals.

Requirements

A proven track record of new business account management and outbound sales is key. You’ll need to be in your element working with a technical product, and able to build strong collaborative relationships across all levels of a business. We’re looking for someone who’s a confident cheerleader in public, via speaking events and presentations.

We’re especially keen to hear from anyone who has:

  • Experience working with data visualization products or web related technologies
  • Additional European language skills alongside English
  • Developed European regional Systems Integrators to adopt and promote software development tools
  • Experience in selling Software Development Kits

    • To check: your experience, knowledge and skills, and how you approach a challenge
    • Preparation needed: your presentation

    This is your time to shine!

    We’ll ask you to prepare a short presentation, which you’ll share during the interview.

    Don’t panic, though! This isn’t designed to stress you out or trip you up. We want to see how you approach the kind of challenges you’ll be solving if you were to join us.

    After the presentation, we’ll ask you some questions and then give you plenty of time to ask your own.

  • telephone interview

    3. Last chat

    • Duration: 30 minutes
    • With: Joe Parry, our CEO
    • To check: your motivations and aspirations
    • Preparation needed: none

    This final step is an informal catch-up with our founder and CEO, Joe. He’ll be interested to hear about your motivations for joining us, and what you’ll bring to the team.

    It’s also a great chance to understand our business from a strategic perspective, and to see how your career will progress here.
