Finance Assistant

Who is Cambridge Intelligence?

We’re a team of data visualization experts. With our graph visualization toolkit, we help organizations to make an intelligent visual analysis of their data to ‘join the dots’ within it and uncover hidden threats.

What’s the role about?

Our busy finance team needs additional help with the growing volume of work. We need a finance assistant who can quickly pick up and work to existing delegated processes as well as taking on more general admin tasks. This will include:

  • Posting sales and purchase invoices
  • Review and posting of expenses and credit card transactions
  • Credit control – liaising with customers
  • Assisting with administration of staff benefits
  • Ensuring compliance with our financial processes

Who’s the ideal candidate?

You will probably already have some experience (around a year) of working in a finance team or in a role with exposure to finance functions. You will need to have good attention to detail when it comes to processes and procedures, particularly where sensitive or confidential information is concerned. Most of all, you should be friendly, approachable and helpful.

  • Basic use of spreadsheets and other office applications
  • Some exposure to accounting packages
  • Highly numerate
  • Good telephone manner

Straight to the front of the line:

  • Experience with web-based accounting package such as Xero
  • Use of SaaS tools to support accounting functions and other business processes

The company could offer support to a successful candidate working towards their AAT qualification.
